Sustainable development has paved the way for advancements in these areas, addressing challenges such as low energy efficiency and high carbon emissions in the construction industry. In order to keep up with the ever-evolving world, it is crucial to adopt the latest technologies such as AI & 3D printing etc., and choose appropriate materials. The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) aims to bridge the gap between academicians, researchers, and industry delegates who share the same interests, providing a platform for them to exchange experiences and observations in their respective fields. This program showcases how innovation in construction materials and techniques can occur at various levels, including the selection of compositions, design, and production technologies. Therefore, the role of construction materials in achieving sustainability in civil infrastructure goes beyond meeting performance criteria and encompasses their entire life cycle.
